1 Corinthians 10:1-5
For I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud and passed through the sea. We were all baptized by Moses in the cloud and in the sea. We all ate the same spiritual food, we all drank the same spiritual drink. They drank from the spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ. But God was not pleased with many of them, and they were destroyed in the wilderness.

Israel came out of Egypt, experienced the miracle of the Red Sea parting, and crossed over. The Bible refers to this experience as baptism. To be baptized is to receive a new heart. When you are baptized, it is a time when you must decide and be prepared to abandon the old habits of the world and live according to the word of God. They ate manna. In a spiritual sense, it is receiving the Word of God, the 10 Commandments. They drank from the rock. The rock represents Jesus Christ. The drink restored and satisfied their thirsty lives and minds. They sometimes received much grace from the Lord. However, God was not pleased with most of them and destroyed them in the wilderness. what is the reason? This is because they disobeyed the Lord and continued to lead a religious life without repentance. This principle applies to us as is. Be careful not to perish. We must always strive to be obedient and repent. However, churches now recognize water baptism as salvation of the soul, which is wrong. Being baptized is only the beginning of a life of faith. Have you ever experienced joy when you received an answer to your prayers? You can temporarily recover from your tiring life. But that in itself doesn't get us to heaven, it's just a matter of feeling that God is at work. Receiving the 10 Commandments is receiving spiritual food. Manna saves the body, and the word of the Lord saves the soul. Obeying the Word is the way to heaven. Because they disobeyed those words and did not repent, Israel was destroyed along the way. Their failures are a mirror of ours. We must repent and live a life of obedience to the end.

형제들아 너희가 알지 못하기를 내가 원치 아니하노니 우리 조상들이 다 구름 아래 있고 바다 가운데로 지나며, 모세에게 속하여 다 구름과 바다에서 세례를 받고,다 같은 신령한 식물을 먹으며,다 같은 신령한 음료를 마셨으니 이는 저희를 따르는 신령한 반석으로부터 마셨으매 그 반석은 곧 그리스도시라.그러나 저희의 다수를 하나님이 기뻐하지 아니하신고로 저희가 광야에서 멸망을 받았느니라

이스라엘이 애굽에서 나와 홍해가 갈라지는 기적을 경험하며, 건너갔다. 성경은 이 경험을 세례 받은 것으로 말한다. 세례받는 것은 새마음을 얻는 것이다. 세례받을 때 세상의 구습을 버리고 ,하나님의 말씀대로 살겠다고 결심하고 각오해야 하는 시간이다. 그들은 만나를 먹었다. 그것은 영적인 의미로는 하나님의 말씀을 받은 것이다, 10계명. 저들은 반석에서 나오는 음료를 마셨다. 그 반석은 예수 그리스도를 의미 한다. 그 음료는 그들의 갈급한 삶과 마음을 회복하고 만족시켰다. 그들은 때때로 주님의 은혜을 많이 받았다. 그러나 하나님은 그들의 대부분을 기뻐하지 않았고, 광야에서 멸망시켰습니다. 이유가 무엇인가? 그들이 주님께 불순종하며 회개하지 않는 신앙생활을 계속했기 때문이다. 이 원리는 그대로 우리에게 적용된다. 멸망하지 않기 위해 조심하라. 항상 순종하기를 힘쓰고 회개해야 한다. 그러나 지금 교회들은 물세례 받는 것을 영혼 구원받은 것으로 인정한다, 잘못되었다. 세례받는 것은 신앙생활의 시작일 뿐이다. 가끔 기도의 응답을 받고,기뻐한 경험이 있는가? 지친 삶을 잠시 회복할 수 있다. 그러나 그것 자체가 우리를 천국가게 하지 않는다, 단지 하나님께서 일하심을 느끼는 정도이다. 10계명을 받은 것은 영적 양식을 받은 것. 만나는 육체를 살리고, 주님의 말씀은 영혼을 살린다. 말씀에 순종하는 것이 천국 가는 길이다. 그 말씀에 불순종하고, 회개하지 않았기 때문에 이스라엘이 도중에 멸망했다. 그들의 실패는 우리 거울이다. 우리는 회개하고 순종하는 삶을 끝까지 지켜야 한다.
