Repentance is an absolute condition for salvation, not an option (newlife church 26 3 29)

All human beings are born as sinners; the wages of sin are sickness, curses, and hell.

It is through repentance that we are forgiven and go to heaven.

Repentance and the blood of Jesus bring sinners to life.

Only the blood of Jesus is the cure that revives the dead.

Only God, who created man, can restore a human being who has died due to sin.

When sins are forgiven, one becomes righteous.

When a debt is paid, one is freed from the debt.

Jesus paid the price for our sins;

it is those who believe this and repent who shall live.

Those who do not believe in Jesus and do not repent will carry their own sins and go to hell.

Repentance is an absolute condition for salvation. It is not an option that one may or may not do.

Repentance is not achieved by studying some theory.

It is changing a life that resisted the Lord's will into a life that obeys the Lord's will.

However, no one is perfect.

Therefore, we must strive to obey daily and wash our shortcomings with the blood of Jesus.

It is not something done once or twice and then stopped.

It must be done until the moment we leave this world.

Every day, our hearts and thoughts commit sin. Hatred and greed arise within us unknowingly.

If we neglect and accumulate these, the price of that sin is hell.

Human doctrines say that once you confess Jesus, past, present, and future sins disappear.

This is a voice that opposes the Word of the Bible.

Human doctrines claim that being redeemed from sin is the same as the salvation of the soul.

No, the blood of Jesus redeemed the sins of mankind once and for all.

This is a preparatory provision that allows all people to repent and receive forgiveness of sins.

To believe that redemption is salvation and merely attend church diligently is to lead a hollow life of faith.

Such people, even if they attend church all their lives, will never achieve communion with Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit does not come to a heart full of hatred and greed.

The Lord comes only when we cast away pride, greed, and idolatry.

We must live a life that seeks the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

Because we have shortcomings while living with this goal, we must repent every day.

This is true repentance and the way to heaven.

**Matthew 6:33**

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Heaven is in the third heaven. The sky covering the earth is the first heaven, above the first heaven is the second heaven, and above the second heaven is heaven.

To enter heaven, we must be trained on this earth to achieve the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

That training is to repent according to the words of Jesus and strive to obey.

However, there are many church members who dislike receiving spiritual training.

Jesus calls these members "chaff" and said they would eventually be burned in the fires of hell. To become a "wheat" believer, one must discipline oneself.

**1 Timothy 4:8**

"For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come."

When we diligently practice repenting and obeying, we receive the blessings of this earth and the blessing of going to heaven.

Going to church alone does not mean you go to heaven. You must discipline yourself, turning away from your inclination toward sin and returning to the Lord's Word.

Discipline yourself; this is severing sin and obeying the Lord's Word.

It cannot be achieved all at once; you must practice every day and train until you die.

The human doctrine that says you will unconditionally go to heaven once you believe in Jesus is comfortable. But it is the road to destruction.

**Isaiah 1:11-12**

"The multitude of your sacrificeswhat are they to me?" says the Lord. "I have more than enough of burnt offerings, of rams and the fat of fattened animals; I have no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats. When you come to appear before me, who has asked this of you, this trampling of my courts?"

The people of Israel went up to the Temple on the Sabbath, offered sacrifices of fattened animals, and sprinkled the blood of animals before the altar and returned. And they believed they were saved.

The Lord says: “You have only trampled my courts.”

This means they offered worship to the Lord, but the Lord did not receive their worship.

Why is that?

What is the reason?

**Isaiah 1:13**

"Stop bringing meaningless offerings! Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons, Sabbaths and convocationsI cannot bear your worthless assemblies."

Stop offering vain sacrifices. Stop vain worship.

Their life of faithliving wickedly and not repentinggrieved the Lord's heart so much.

He kept waiting for them to get better, but there was no sign of change.

**Isaiah 1:14**

"Your New Moon feasts and your appointed festivals I hate with all my being. They have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them."

They held sacred assemblies for the Lord and diligently kept the New Moons and festivals. However, those acts actually became a heavy burden to God.

The life of a Christian who lives according to the desires of the flesh and does not repent is what causes the Lord's heart to ache.

We must not believe in Jesus according to human doctrine, but according to the Word of the Bible. The Word of the Bible is to live godlily.

However, no one is perfectly righteous. Nevertheless, we must strive to live godlily while repenting.

Human doctrine has come in and says there is no need to repent and no need to obey; you just go to heaven if you go to church.

Because God is love, they say once you confess Jesus, you are unconditionally saved, so no one obeys.

The inside of the church has collapsed. Only the shell of the church remains.

In this situation, how many people will be saved?

However, God and the Bible have not changed. Only those who hold onto the Word of the Bible until the end will be saved.

**Isaiah 1:15**

"When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood!"

There are many church members who live wickedly and do not repent. They pray to the Lord for blessings.

The Lord blocks His ears and does not listen to their prayers.

He tells them to first wash the blood from their hands.

First, repent for hurting other people's hearts and for the sins you have committed.

Only then will the Lord hear our prayers.

**Isaiah 1:16-17**

"Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong. Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow."

Do not just attend church; you must wash away your sins and stop evil deeds and actions. And learn to do good and seek justice. Help those who are oppressed. Defend the grievances of orphans and widows.

Repentance is fulfilled only when such a changed life takes place.

Living according to one's own stubbornness and only attending church is a life without repentance.

When we first believe in Jesus, we confess Jesus with our lips.

However, as we learn the Word and gradually realize God's will, our lives must increasingly resemble the Lord.

If we go west when the Lord says go east, or do something else when He tells us to do something, that is not believing in Jesus.

**Luke 6:46**

"Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?"

How beautifully does every church praise the Lord on Sundays? But do their hearts and lives bring glory to the Lord?

Is the Lord not grieving because of them, because their hearts are hardened and they do not forgive others?

**1 Peter 4:8**

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins."

When we forgive and love one another, the Lord covers all our sins.

When we scratch, hate, and envy each other, the Lord judges our sins as they are.

To not have my sins judged, I must forgive others.

Love is forgiving others and doing good.

Seeking only one's own benefit and hurting others is not believing in the Word of God.

**Luke 13:3**

"I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."

Suddenly a tower collapsed and people were crushed to death under the debris. Then the disciples asked the Lord, "Lord, did they die because of their sins?"

The Lord said, "Unless you repent, you too will be like them."

Even the twelve disciples of Jesus would perish if they did not repent.

Everyone is a sinner; if you do not repent, you will perish.

**Acts 3:19**

"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,"

Repent of your sins and turn away from sin, then the day of renewal will come.

When you repent, you get a new heart; when you have a new heart, you live a new life; and a new life brings God's blessings and heaven.

Human doctrines that block repentance bring destruction and hell.

**Isaiah 55:7**

"Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon."

The Lord says that if God's people repent and forsake their evil ways, the Lord will have mercy on them and generously forgive them.

However, if you believe in human doctrine and persist in evil ways, the Lord's fiery judgment will come.

Human doctrine is what sickens the hearts of Christians who used to obey.

"There is no need to repent and obey."

"Because He is a God of love, He will eventually save everyone even if they are disobedient"do not be deceived by such words.

Everything not in the Bible belongs to Satan. Do not follow human doctrine just because it is comfortable to believe in Jesus. If you only care about comfort, it is more comfortable to sleep at home on Sunday than to come to church.

The reason we were created is to achieve the Kingdom of God and God's righteousness.

Our happiness overflows within the Kingdom of God.

Church members who only fill their pride and greed turn the place where they live into hell.

**1 John 1:8**

"If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us."

Is there anyone who says, "I have no sin"? This is ignoring God, who said that everyone is a sinner.

Claiming that only oneself is clean and others are dirty is an attempt to deceive God.

One who does not repent is one who deceives himself. He misses the opportunity to repent and goes to hell.

Cast away pride and repent. The Lord is in a clean heart.

**1 John 1:9**

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

Confess your sins before the Lord. The blood of Jesus cleanses us and makes us people of heaven.

Human claims stem from their own greed.

Wrapping oneself in beautiful words does not make one a beautiful person.

When we cast away pride, forgive others, and act with motives of love in everything, the Lord acknowledges us as clean.

At that time, the Lord's peace and blessing will come.

**John 14:15**

"If you love me, keep my commands."

Those who love the Lord must prove it by keeping His commandments.

Memorizing the Lord's commandments but not keeping them is fake faith.

**James 1:22**

"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says."

Act on the Word. Hearing but not acting is deceiving and destroying oneself.

**1 Samuel 15:22**

"Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams."

Obeying the Lord's voice is better than offering many sacrifices.

This means that repenting and obeying is better than offering many worship services.

Obedience is forgiving others, forsaking evil, and doing good.

It is striving to achieve harmony with neighbors while sacrificing one's own interests little by little.

Breaking harmony with others because of worldly greed is preventing one's own worship from reaching the Lord.

**Romans 6:1-2**

"What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?"

We receive forgiveness of sins by the grace of the Cross. Receiving forgiveness for many sins is receiving greater grace.

However, it is not okay to intentionally commit more sins to receive more grace.

Living as one pleases without self-control and repenting mechanically is endless disobedience.

It is dishonoring the grace of the Cross.

**Hebrews 10:29**

"How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?"

Do you think that grace is cheap because you receive forgiveness for free? It is not so.

We receive forgiveness of sins at the cost of the sacrifice of God's life.

Nothing is more valuable than God's life.

Even if all the lives of mankind are added together, they do not reach the value of God's life.

Through the miracle of the five loaves and two fish, 5,000 people ate and 12 baskets were left.

The Lord has great power, but He did not tell them to throw it away.

Value the power of the Lord that He always performs.

He saved us by giving the life of the only Lord. Do not treat this as cheap.

**2 Timothy 3:5**

"...having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people."

Turn away from those who have the form of godliness but do not strive to live godlily.

The Lord is not in their hearts.

In a heart where the Lord is not present, Satan dwells.

If one continues to hear the words of the devil through a human, he also falls into the devil's temptation.
