What is faith?
Believing in the Creator God is true faith, because the Creator alone created and governs the entire universe and all things.
The Lord alone governs the people living on this earth, those in heaven, and those in hell.
The Creator alone governs the life, blessings, and curses of all people, so we must only believe in God.
When we are deceived by lies and fail to believe in God as our only master, we are all abandoned and perish.
However, if we believe in God as our only master, and even if we sin and are lacking, we can receive forgiveness of sins through repentance and go to heaven.
Faith is not just shouting out the words of the Bible as slogans,
True faith is to obey the word of the Lord and strive to repent of one's sins.
When we believe in Jesus, our faith must be evidenced through our lives.
However, those who only show their acts of faith outwardly and do not believe in God in their hearts are legalists.
What the Lord wants is not for our outward appearance to change, but for our stubborn hearts to become honest and beautiful.
First, believing the Lord’s words in our hearts and then showing them through our actions is true faith.
When our hearts and actions achieve repentance and obedience, it is faith.
Voluntarily loving God and our neighbors is faith.
When we believe in the Lord, our acts of faith should be revealed in our life of faith.
However, those who only show outward acts of faith but do not believe in God in their hearts are legalists who cannot enter heaven.
What the Lord wants is not a change in our outward appearance, but a change in our heart.
First, believing the Lord’s words in our hearts and then showing them through our actions is true faith.
When our hearts and actions are transformed into repentance and obedience, that faith leads us to heaven.
Voluntarily loving God and your neighbor is a living faith.
Casting aside our arrogant hearts and forgiving others for their faults is faith that saves our souls.
Going to church to achieve worldly power or worldly desires is a false faith.
When worldly goals are not achieved, they abandon God.
If you put a heavy object on a steel spring, the spring will sink, and when the object is removed, the spring will rise again.
In this way, to suppress old habits to achieve worldly purposes, but to bring them back again, is not true faith.
Just as a steel spring always retains its elasticity, human desires are always within us and must be controlled to the end by the Holy Spirit.
Just having an obedient appearance with a stubborn heart is not a faith that will lead to heaven.
When the spring loses its elasticity, it always remains in a sinking state, regardless of whether there is a heavy object on it or not.
When the evil mind and arrogant thoughts are removed, we can maintain a humble and loving mind, regardless of the circumstances.
When a stubborn heart is gently changed, we are not deceived by worldly temptations.
When we are transformed into a humble heart, we can always remain humble even when we receive the Lord's blessings.
What the Lord wants is for our hearts to be gentle and humble.
The faith that leads to heaven is an inner change of heart rather than an outer change.
We must examine our own hearts to see which side we are on, whether we are on the Lord’s side or on the side of Satan.
A leopard cannot get rid of its black spots on its body. Likewise, humans cannot get rid of their bad habits by their own ability.
When we pray and try to obey, the Holy Spirit makes our wishes come true.
When we actively try to change, the power of the Holy Spirit gradually changes our stubborn hearts into humble ones.
Like the Apostle Paul, we can change in an instant. However, this is an extremely rare case.
Most people change little by little through prayer and obedience.
Even when it is hard and difficult, try to understand and forgive others.
Always trying to be gentle and reconciled with your neighbors is the faith that saves your soul.
What the Lord wants from us is not our living perfectly, but our faith that puts our heart and strength into fulfilling the Lord’s will.
We should strive and work hard every day for the Lord’s will, because no one is perfect.
Trying and working hard to correct our mistakes is the faith that will lead us to heaven.
Trying to be reconciled with our neighbors while giving up our own interests is a life that walks with the Holy Spirit.
If your heart is filled with jealousy and anger, then trying to do good deeds is not faith.
We must try to broaden our narrow hearts and have a heart that is tolerant of others’ mistakes.
Romans 14:1
Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters.
Think of your own shortcomings and do not criticize the shortcomings and faults of others.
Do not understand and oppress those whose faith is weak.
Just as your own change is slow, so is the change of others.
Even though we know all our sins, the Lord is patient and waits for us.
However, people with the same faults criticize each other, which is shameful before the Lord.
We should not be angry or slander our family members or neighbors who are weak in faith.
To encourage others to repent with a humble heart through the word of God is love.
However, to slander others with human pride and arrogance is hatred and murder.
Help others repent with gentleness through the words of the Bible.
Advise within the limits of what the other person can accept, and do not continue to advise those who do not accept your advice.
That is why the sermons of a pastor to the public are direct and strong.
However, when a pastor meets with individual believers and counsels them, he must be gentle.
When a pastor advises with the words of the Bible, church members who do not listen may receive severe discipline from the Lord.
Romans 1:17
For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."
The righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel, which means that sins are washed away and righteousness is made through the blood of Jesus.
The righteousness that the dictionary explains means keeping all the laws, but the righteousness of the gospel means forgiveness of sins.
Even if we fail to keep all the laws, when we repent of our sins, the blood of Jesus forgives us, and it is the righteousness that comes through the grace of the cross.
We must continue to keep and maintain this righteous life.
The life of righteousness that comes through faith is a life of repentance while striving to obey.
Those who keep the law only formally without a change of heart are legalists.
Do not follow the charismatics or human prophecies, this is false faith.
If someone who performs many miracles abandons a life of repentance, his sins will pile up and he will eventually perish.
Galatians 3:24-25
Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed.
So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith.
Through the law, we must realize exactly what sin is and realize that the price of sin is destruction.
We must realize the blood of Jesus that forgives all sins and repent.
Those who do not repent of their sins can never receive the Lord's forgiveness.
The entire Old and New Testaments teach this truth and the gospel.
A kindergarten teacher is a job that teaches young children who have no knowledge or wisdom.
Since kindergarteners do not know anything, they only listen to and follow the teacher's words.
In this way, fallen humans do not know the truth at all, so they must realize their sins through the law and repent.
The law tells people what sin is and that the price for sin is curse and hell.
The law makes us realize our sins and makes us go to Jesus to repent and live.
The law does not have the power to save us, but it makes us go to Jesus who saves us.
That is why believers who continue to remain under the law and do not go to Jesus are not saved.
The legalistic church cannot spread the gospel that saves the soul.
The law is good. However, the law itself does not save us and leads us to the path of life.
Only the blood of Jesus awakens and saves those who realize their sins and repent.
All people who realize their sins through the law and repent through the blood of Jesus are saved.
This is the only way to salvation, and the Old and New Testaments teach this truth to mankind.
True repentance is to confess your sins to the Lord and receive forgiveness while making an effort to abandon sin.
Galatians 3:26-27
You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus,
for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
Sinners believe in Jesus and repent, so they are forgiven and become children of God.
When we are baptized into Christ and repent of our sins, we are clothed with Christ.
All our sins are covered by the blood of Jesus, so our old appearance disappears and only Jesus is visible through us.
This is not accomplished through formal water baptism, but through the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
The fullness of the Holy Spirit renews our hearts.
When we truly repent, all our sins are covered by the blood of Jesus.
Just as clothes cover our bodies when we put on them, when we repent, our sins are covered by the blood of Jesus.
Human knowledge and doctrine cannot cover our sins, and they cannot be the path to salvation.
